What we spend and how we spend it
Each year we are allocated money by the Government to provide local health services through provider organisations which we commission.
The CCG budget for 2015-16 was £308.8million. You can find out how we spent that in our annual report.
In 2016/17 it was £344.2million. The increase included £12.6 million for population growth plus a primary care commissioning budget of £31.9million. The additional funding is also required to pay for other services that were previously funded centrally, such as IT systems for GP practices.
The CCG has a financial recovery plan in place to support the management of the budget.
The CCG’s financial strategy is aligned to its overall strategic goals and priority programmes.
